Happy Happy Birthday Maxwell!!!!!!!

Our little monkey turned 1 years old today. I can't believe how fast it has gone, I wasn't sure we were going to make it but we did! Time to celebrate.

Football Season

Noah has been asking to play football so this year we signed him up for flag football. Here is part of the video, he is kicking off. He actually made a touchdown at the very end of the game for the winning play but by then the video camera had been put away. Great Job Noah!

Lyndsey, the newest Junior Girl Scout

Many of you know that Lyndsey has been involved in Girl Scouts for several years. She started as a Daisy scout, bridged up to Brownies and last night she became a Junior Girl Scout. I am so proud of her, she has worked so hard for all the badges she has received and has made such good friends.

Noah had his first football game last night (pictures and info coming soon) as well so Dave and I had to divide and conquer. I decided I would take Jacob since I was going to be somewhere I could somewhat contain him and the fact that he is potty training and there would be a bathroom near by if needed. As you will see the girl scouts had a new member bridge last night! (one of the pictures you have to look closely to find him.

The last few days I have been working on my digital scrapbooking and wanted to share one of my favorite pages.

I love pictures of children when they are sleeping, they are so peaceful and innocent! I am glad we got this picture of Lyndsey and Noah during one of their sleep overs so when they are older and tell me they can't stand each other I have proof that they did love each other at one point!

Making memories

Dave and I love camping and enjoyed several trips with Lyndsey and Noah but have not ventured out with Jacob and Max until this weekend....We decided to join the ward camp out, one night shouldn't be too bad right? The kids had a great time once we finally got there, we had to go several miles on a dirty, rocky road in our mini van and almost turned around when we finally saw the sign for the campground. Once we got there, Lyndsey and Noah took off playing with friends and Jacob and Max stayed around to help Dave put the tent up.

After the tent was put up, Dave asked if I thought we should put the rain guard thing on (I don't know what they are called) and I told him I didn't think so, which about 7am the next morning wasn't the best decision we made. Anyway, Jacob got to play in the dirt which he loved and Max hung out in his pj's!

Finally Jacob asked me if he could go take a nap and Max had fallen asleep so I headed off to the tent with the little ones to get ready for bed. Let me tell you, I wasn't that worried about Max because he has become a pretty good sleeper, (you kind of have to when you share a room with Jacob) but Jacob on the other hand I was very worried about, let's just sum it up with OCD! He is very particular with how things should be, which has done wonders in the potty training area but not so much when you try to get him to sleep somewhere other than his bed. After Dave gathered the Lyndsey and Noah and we all settled down for the night, we heard our neighbors from the campground across the way having a really good time. Such a good time in fact they didn't stop, belching, yelling or shooting their guns (yes shooting guns) until about 4:30! So between that and the two time Jacob woke up crying because he wasn't sure where he was and what was going on, Dave and I got no sleep at all!!!!!! So as I laid there watching my children sleep so peacefully I wondered, was this how my parents felt when they were creating memories for us? Thanks Mom and Dad.

Yesterday we decided to take the kids up to the zoo, it has been awhile since we have been there and they wanted to see the new babies. I will have to say that it was one of the most enjoyable trips we have had. We got up there about 4pm, just as the crowds of the day were leaving, it was a cool afternoon and we just took our time walking around. We got the kids, expect for baby Max, a sno cone and just enjoyed ourselves. Here are some pictures.
