Update 1019 (Rumble in the Nursery)

It's been a while since our last update so here we are. Lyndsey and Noah have been busy playing everyday as they go back to school tomorrow. They're not really looking forward to it but they know they have birthdays and holidays coming up so it's taking the pain out of it a little.



Jacob's been busy lately. He's about three weeks away from being old enough to go to nursery during church. With Max here we thought maybe I should take him in during the next few weeks to stay with him and get him used to the idea. Lyndsey and Noah were both so clingy when it came time for them to start nursery so we braced for the worst. However, not only did we find out that concerns about him being able to go to nursery on his own were completely unfounded but on day one he became the class bully. The poor kid didn't even see him coming. I don't blame the kid. Jacob waddled over there and looked like any other baby in class. Little did he know this baby's been roughin it with his six year old brother. It was no contest.



He's also really dug in and helped Melissa around the house. Here is is with his bed stripped and ready for laundry day.



Max is doing great. We moved Jacob into Noah's room and Max has taken over the baby room. He's doing great eating and getting bigger. Now if we could just get him to fall asleep at night.



Anyways, that's what's up around here. Sorry so dull but I'm sure we'll have lots of great stuff around Halloween.

2 weeks old

Max had his two week check up on Friday and he is already 5lbs, 9.5 oz. He is still way too little but at least he has passed his birth weight. I feel like I have been to the doctors at least once every two weeks the last 2 or 3 months, with Jacob being sick and Max being born and I don't see it slowing down much in the next little while. I scheduled Lyndsey and Noah to get their flu shots this week, (little nervous since last year it took two nurses to hold Noah's leg still!) anyway then we have Jacob's 18 month check up and then it is almost time for Max to come back. I guess this is what they call a stay at home mom?????



Noah and Jacob went with Dave to get the mail the other night and took a ride in the wagon, can you see all the brotherly love? I can't wait until Max can join them, then Dave can take the kids on a wagon ride and Lyndsey and I will go shopping.

So much work for one little blog!

Okay, so Dave told me it was my job to add something to the blog today. I didn't realize this was going to be something on my to do list everyday....so here we go!



I remember when Noah was born how all of a sudden Lyndsey all of a sudden seemed so big, well, it happened again. I can't believe how much bigger Jacob seems to me now that we have another little one around. It took me a while to get this picture, I was so worried about Jacob moving and ending up on top of Max, but everything worked out okay.

Jacob has so much love for Max but I think he is starting to realize that he is here to stay. He is needing a little extra attention than usual and nap and bedtimes are filled with a lot of crying. Hopefully this will pass and we can find a good balance between his needs and Max's.


Lyndsey and Noah are doing great, they decided to play in the rain this weekend, Dave and I were too tired to worry too much about it. We let them know as long as they were okay using their own money for the copay when we had to visit the doctors they could go out in the rain. They are so funny, it seems like they are constantly playing a game so I am always a little confused with their conversations, I am not sure if it is part of their game or a real conversation. I love them so much and I don't think I would be doing so well at home without their help. I don't know if I am going to let them go back to school!

Just thought I'd update this thing. I can tell we aren't going to be very good at this. The novelty has just about worn off. Oh well today was a big day for Max. We looked out the windows and saw the beautiful blue sky, heard the birds singing and so naturally we decided to load up the car and head down the doctor to get Max a little cosmetic surgery.

We're slowly learning that maybe 2 little ones so close together may not have been the most convenient decision. But we all waited for the doctor in a small room and the moment finally came and I gotta say we came out of it just fine. Max has been sleepin it off. (A wise decision my man.)

Lyndsey and Noah are both off track so they've been keeping themselves busy helping mom and playing on in the backyard. Jacob has been making sure Max gets lots of loves and just being Jacob.

Umm yeah so pretty dull entry but at least I'm blowing life into this baby. Oh Jacob has added "BOOYA!" and "Go Utes!" to his repertoire.

Magic Happens

Went to the Utah OSU game last night. What a blast. Felt like a freaking roller coaster but proud to say Dad and I stuck it out and were rewarded. Had an incredible time; great game, amazing atmosphere, great company. This picture is going on my office desk. Thanks Dad!

Melissa is a dream for letting me go and soooooooo many other reasons. She will be handsomely rewarded. (I'm looking for a pool boy for her.) She stayed home last night with the kids. I think I need to send her on a road trip away from the kids and me for some R&R.

Home Alone

Today is my first day home alone with all four kids!  I can't believe it four kids....it seems like it yesterday when it was just Dave and I.  Oh well, can't think about that for too long, too much to do. Max is doing well, I was able to grab a quick picture with his eyes open a little bit.  He is getting a lot of loves from his big brother, still not sure if Jacob is sizing him up for dinner or truly giving him loves!

Jacob said "Max" for the first time today.  He has been a good boy, Lyndsey is letting him play with her Dora tent and he is having a blast.  Of course, he isn't playing with it as you would think, he is folding it up, tipping it over and sitting on it.  You just have to love active, little boys.

Lyndsey and Noah are off track so they have been perfecting their Wii games and rediscovering their toys.  They have been a great help with the two little ones.  Lyndsey made lunch for everyone, Peanut Butter and Honey sandwiches!  Of course, she didn't eat hers but that is Lyndsey, any ideas on how to get her to eat without telling her how many more bites she needs to eat, let me know...I am out of ideas.  

Well, it is feeding time at the zoo!
