Oh so big...well, not that big

Maxwell's six month visit was today, he is staying consistently at 10% for height and weight and 15% for his head, he is 15lbs. He is such a little guy and so content to just lay there and smile at you! I love him so much. I think Jacob was nervous at first because he kept telling the doctor to look at Max and pointing at the him, I know he was afraid the trip to the doctor was for him, what a character, he drives me crazy and I can't help but love him!

What am I going to do with him?

Last Thursday I was getting Jacob and Max ready for our walk up to the school to meet Noah and Lyndsey on their way home. I needed to move the van so I could get the stroller out and while doing so, Jacob had locked the deadbolt, locking me outside, unable to get in with two boys under the age of 23 months in the house by themselves! (I know what you are thinking, I should have a key outside, it was moved a while ago and never replaced) So, immediately my thought is "which window am I going to have to break to get inside?" after thinking for a minute I remembered in Jacob's curious manner he had figured out how to unlock the screen door off of the deck so I quickly ran around the house to the back door. I called Jacob over and he was oblivious to the situation we were in, smiling and talking to me like everything was great. I talked him into unlocking the door only to remember that we have an extra security measure on this door and I wasn't in the house yet! Once again, I knew Jacob knew how to release this extra security measure as he has gotten in trouble for doing so numerous times before, so it started all over again. I tried to talk all sweet and fun with him while inside I was dying! He got so close to it numerous times only to be distracted by the need of a treat or a bug climbing on the window. Finally, after about 10-15 minutes he released this extra security and I was able to get in....that was the longest 20 minutes of my life, I didn't know if I should hug him or put him in time out. As for Max during all of this, he was in his car seat, waiting patiently to go pick the kids up from school.

Then there was last night, Jacob found the liquid dish soap and decided to give it a taste. After calling poison control to figure out what to do we spent about an hour trying to get him to drink water and watching him throw up as his tummy got upset by the dish soap.

There is never a dull moment with Jake, I just wish he would slow down a bit, we are heading into the terrible two's and I am definitely not ready.

It almost work....

Noah brought a Leprechaun trap home from school on Tuesday and set it up and look it almost worked!

That darn leprechaun escaped this year but I think we might get him next year. St. Patrick's Day is always exciting around here, Lyndsey dresses in green from head to toe (this year except pink socks), while Noah always struggles finding something green.

I received beautiful flowers from Dave for our 15 year, funny, it seems just like yesterday that we got married. Just for fun, here is one of our wedding pictures!

Four kids sure have aged us!

Soon to be off to Vegas!

When we were first married I thought for sure by the 15th year of marriage we would celebrate by heading off to Hawaii or some fun, distant location but here we are 15 years later and we are heading off to Vegas for the weekend. I guess I should be thankful with the two little ones I am lucky to have one night off let alone two.

Max is so close to rolling I told Dave it will probably happen this weekend with my sister, just my luck.

Here are some fun pictures of the kids taken recently.

No pictures today

For the last few weeks our house has been hit with a wonderful cold that Noah brought home from school! One by one it has knocked us down and now it is Max's turn! Poor kid he doesn't understand what is going on and tries to hard to smile even though you can tell by his eyes he doesn't feel good. He is a lot like Noah this way, when Noah is sick he still is happy and helpful and doesn't make that big of deal about it (odd for a male isn't it?) anyway, it seems Max is like that as well. Jacob on the other had, if he doesn't feel well then he isn't going to let anyone else have a pleasant or even bearable time until he feels better. No joke, he moans all night like, we had to move Max out of the room because Jacob was so loud! So I think we are almost out of this sickness and just in time to tackle this week of Birthdays and Bunco and for Dave and I to escape to Las Vegas next weekend. Keep your fingers crossed for us that no one else gets sick but I could sure use a few days off! Yes Barb, I will post some pictures later this week.
